100% would recommend.
A Draw Your Own Story Book's 'The New Kid' arrived yesterday! It is a fantastic, loving and genuine way of showing the story of a boy, Josh, meeting a new student who acts different. We learn that the new student is a child with Autism.
The story teaches adults and more importantly, children, the differences in children on the spectrum and helps children understand and to accept these differences in the hopes to teach compassion.
As a teacher, this story warms my heart.

Thank-you so much for this book. We are using it for our remote learning weekly art activity. My daughter is both learning about a very important topic whilst enjoying being creative at the same time.

A great book designed for children who are interacting for the first time with someone who is on the spectrum. Explained simply and in kid's everyday language, this book is a hit.

This great interactive story is focused on the perspective of a young boy whose new class mate has autism.
It introduces him into the world of autism and helps him understand how each individual thinks, feels, responds in different ways few of us can imagine.
I highly recommend this book for everyone.
